	Utah prairie dogs (Cynomys parvidens) — the most rare amongst the five species of these rodents — are threatened with extinction under the Endangered Species Act. Taken in the wild, photos from Bond's collection have been broadcast on Discovery Channel Canada, published in The Washington Post and The American Naturalist, and used for study by Lucas Film, Auburn University, University of Maryland at Frostburg, and other institutions of higher education.
